New Delhi, JNN / Agencies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has become infected with the Corona virus. He is admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for treatment. The Home Minister reached Medanta Hospital around 4:30 pm on Sunday. He is admitted to a separate room in the isolation ward of the hospital. However, nothing is being said from the hospital management. It is said that his treatment is under the supervision of Dr. Sushila Kataria, Senior Physician of the hospital. A team from AIIMS (Delhi) will also oversee Shah. A team of doctors headed by AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria is likely to visit Medanta.
Private staff went to isolation
Apart from working from home, the Home Minister was also going to the office in North Block regularly. After Shah was found corona positive, his personal staff went into isolation. However, it is not yet known whether Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla and other ministry officials have decided to go into isolation. Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a webinar on the hundredth death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak at Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts on Saturday. He tweeted, ‘I got an investigation done when I saw early signs of corona infection. My test report came back positive. My health is fine, but I am hospitalized on the advice of doctors. Home Minister Shah has been following the provisions such as physical distance and masking at all events including the cabinet meeting. Union minister Babul Supriyo said he was going into self-isolation, as he had met the home minister a day earlier. He said that he would take all precautionary measures as per protocol.

BJP President JP Nadda tweeted that Home Minister Shah was found to be Corona positive. I wish him a speedy recovery. Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has also been found to be corona infected. They were advised to stay in isolation at home, as their infection is mild. Purohit was in self-isolation since July 29 after three people were found to be corona positive at Raj Bhavan. The governor underwent his test at Cauvery Hospital on Sunday. A bulletin issued by the hospital states that they have been advised for home isolation and a medical team will supervise them. Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Executive Director of the hospital said in the bulletin that he is clinically stable.
UP minister Kamalrani Varun dies
Recently, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan was also found infected with corona, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital. At the same time, in the Yogi Adityanath government, Technical Education Minister Kamalrani Varun died on Sunday. She was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi PGI in Lucknow due to the global epidemic of corona infection.
