Two trains of Amrit Bharat Express are ready to hit the tracks from December 30. Earlier this train was named Vande Sadharan at the design level. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Amrit Bharat Express for second class sleeper and general unreserved passengers on December 30.
Total 22 coaches in Amrit Bharat
Amrit Bharat Express will have 22 coaches including 12 second class sleeper coaches, 8 general class coaches for unreserved passengers and two guard coaches. There will also be space for disabled passengers in the new train. Railways says that passengers will be able to enjoy premium trains at lower prices.
Use of pull-push technology in trains
Amrit Bharat Express has a locomotive at each end of the train. It is a 6,000 hp WAP5 locomotive manufactured by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works. In terms of looks, the train has Vande Bharat style aerodynamically designed locomotives. This will give more speed to the trains

Other features of Amrit Bharat trains include better designed light weight foldable snack tables, aerosol based fire extinguishing systems in toilets and electrical compartments. Its biggest advantage is that it will be easier to face external obstacles.
Zero discharge toilets
Amrit Bharat trains have zero discharge FRP modular toilets. Amrit Bharat trains are manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Chennai. According to ICF GM BG Mallya, toilets are generally the weakest link for non-AC coaches. The toilets in these trains will be almost equal to Vande Bharat.
Jerk free train
Amrit Bharat Train is jerk-free. Another important feature is the semi-permanent couplers that have been used, similar to Vande Bharat trains. These couplers prevent jerks when the train starts or stops. Therefore, passengers traveling in Amrit Bharat trains can enjoy a different kind of pleasure.
This many trains will be made
Two Amrit Bharat trains have been launched in the current financial year and based on the feedback, Indian Railways will prepare a production plan for the next financial year. After technical feedback, 20 to 30 Amrit Bharat style trains will be manufactured every month. There is also a plan to install AC coaches in the train.

Amrit Bharat trains are with padded racks. Indian Railways says that the seats have been designed in such a way that they are not only comfortable but also safe.
