Railway Station: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the redevelopment of 553 railway stations as part of Amrit Bharat Yojna. This includes rooftop plans and improving the city centre. This virtual event will take place at more than 2,000 railway stations and sites. The initiative includes major stations in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and Punjab
Uttar Pradesh has the maximum number of 73 stations included under this scheme. After this, 56 stations are included in Maharashtra and 33 stations in Gujarat. Additionally, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh have 33 stations each. Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have 21 stations each. There are 27 stations in Jharkhand. There are 15 stations in Haryana. Punjab and Uttarakhand have three stations each, while Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have one station each earmarked for redevelopment.
