ICICI Bank has transferred the cashback amount to the bank account of Customs who do not miss EMI during the lockdown period.
ICICI Bank (ICICI Bank) customers were not happy when they received an email (e-mail) from the bank receiving cashback on EMIs deposited during the loan moratorium period. But as soon as he came to know the reality of this e-mail, his happiness vanished. In fact, ICICI Bank sent an incorrect email to its customers due to a technical error, in which the loan moratorium cashback amount was much higher than the amount credited to their bank account. As soon as the bank realized this mistake, it rectified its mistake and sent fresh email to the customers.
In fact, people who had a credit of Rs 19.45 in their bank account got an email of depositing Rs 1945. Similarly, people who had a credit of Rs 315 in their account got an email of Rs 3150 credit. At the same time, people who got an email of Rs 9565 credit, in fact only Rs 95.65 came in their account. The borrowers who took loans from ICICI Bank were happy to see this email.
Bank apologizes to its customers
But as soon as the bank came to know about its technical error, the bank apologized to all its customers and started sending emails about the correct amount of credit. According to the instructions of the Central Government, ICICI Bank, in the account of the borrowers who did not miss EMI and did not avail of Loan Moratorium Scheme between March 1 to August 31, lockdown period in their borrowers bank account. The amount of cash back has been transferred. Now customers are being informed about this by sending an email.
These 8 types of loans will benefit
According to the Finance Ministry, the interest waiver scheme will cost the central government about Rs 7,000 crore. Under this scheme, people taking eight category loans i.e. MSMEs loans, Education loans, Home loans, Consumer durables loans, Credit card dues, Personal and professional loans, Consumption loans and Auto loans will benefit. However, agricultural loans are excluded from the scheme.
