Ashneer Grover Resigns From BharatPe : Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of fintech company BharatPe, has resigned as the company’s MD and director. Ashneer Grover has resigned after a dispute with the board of BharatPe.
In his resignation letter sent to the board of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover said, “I am writing this with great sadness, as I am being forced to say goodbye to the company of which I am a founder. Today this company Standing as a leader in the world of fintech. Since the beginning of 2022, unfortunately some people have implicated me and my family without any basis to damage not only my reputation but also the reputation of the company. Ashneer Grover further wrote, ‘Having been a popular face of Indian entrepreneurship and an inspiration to India’s youth to start their own business, I am now wasting my time fighting with my investors and management. Unfortunately in this fight, the management really lost what was at stake, Bharatpe.”
Let us tell you that shortly before Ashneer Grover’s wife Madhuri Jain was removed from the post of head of control on charges of misappropriation of funds. Earlier, the emergency arbitration plea challenging Ashneer Grover’s decision to conduct a governance review of the company was rejected by the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC). On 28 January, BharatPe revealed that the company has appointed Alvarez to conduct a governance review.
Earlier, Ashneer Grover had demanded Rs 4,000 crore from the investors of BharatPe. He had said that if they wanted to kick him out of the company, he would have to pay Rs 4,000 crore to buy his stake. Some time ago, Grover had said that he would leave the company only if an investor would buy his 9.5 percent stake in the company at a valuation of $ 6 billion.
