A total of 5,550 vacancies have been announced for the recruitment of teachers. The vacancy details according to the respective posts are given below.
1. Assistant Teacher of LP Schools – 3,800 posts
2. Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher of UP Schools – 1,750 posts
DEE, Assam Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these posts, candidates must have completed Assam TET or CTET. Applicants who have cleared ATET or CTET for LP and UP are eligible to apply. The language proficiency (either Language-I or Language-II) of ATET and CTET candidates should be in line with the medium of instruction of the desired school.

Candidates applying for these posts must be at least 18 years of age as on January 1, 2023, but 40 years for Unreserved Category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC, SC/ST ( Not exceeding 45 years for P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD).
