Now income tax payers will not be able to join Atal Pension Yojana. After October 1, 2022, such people who pay income tax or have been income tax payers will not be able to join this scheme. Under Atal Pension Yojana, a person from 18 to 40 years can pay monthly premium according to the desired pension amount, based on his age. If a youth of 18 years of age wants a pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of sixty, then he will have to pay a monthly premium of Rs 126 till 42 years. Similarly, different premium amount is payable for the pension amount to the people of different ages as per their wish. After the age of sixty the person gets fixed monthly pension. People can join Atal Pension Yojana through banks or post office. On the other hand, Senior Superintendent of Postal Division Hamirpur Narendra Kumar says that after October 1, income tax payers will not be included in the Atal Pension Yojana.
