Air India Express on Friday said it will start direct flights connecting Ayodhya to Bengaluru and Kolkata from January 17. The carrier will operate its inaugural flights between Ayodhya and Delhi along with the inauguration of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham on Saturday.

The airport will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India Express, said, Bengaluru and Kolkata, as key hubs in our network, will serve as gateways to Ayodhya, providing convenient one-stop itineraries to pilgrims from South India and East India. . Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday said tomorrow will be a historic day for the country with the inauguration of the Ayodhya airport, which will be massively expanded by increasing the overall area and increasing the runway length in the second phase.

Direct connectivity between Ayodhya and Mumbai

Indigo has announced direct connectivity between Ayodhya and Mumbai from January 15. The flight from Ayodhya will leave at 3.15 pm. It will reach Mumbai at 5.40 pm. The fare for January 15 has been kept at Rs 4,500.99. This journey will be completed in two hours and 25 minutes.

Flight between Delhi and Ahmedabad has already been announced

IndiGo had announced operations from Delhi from Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya soon. Commercial operations will start from Delhi to Ayodhya from 6 January 2024 and from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya from 11 January 2024. Vinay Malhotra, Global Sales Head, IndiGo, said that apart from Delhi and Ahmedabad, direct connectivity between Ayodhya and Mumbai will significantly boost travel, tourism and trade.
