The accused Vinay Katiyar, Pawan Pandey, Ramvilas Vedanti, Vijay Bahadur Yadav, Gandhi Yadav and Santosh Dubey made their presence known at around 11:30 pm on Thursday after the court opened. His advocates on behalf of 31 accused, including Kalyan Singh, Sadhvi Ritambhara, Uma Bharti, Brajbhushan Sharan Singh, Salil Pradhan, Champatarai, Mahant Nrityagopal Das, Sakshi Maharaj, and RN Srivastava submitted their appeals for apology. Which the court accepted for today.
The court has already prepared more than one thousand questions asked by the accused for recording the statement. Vijay Bahadur Singh, who was charged in the court proceedings that lasted till late evening, said in response to most of the questions asked in the court that the matter was politically motivated. They are being falsely implicated in this case. When the accused was asked about the subject of the incident and an audio cassette, he told that this cassette was made by tampering. The negative photograph of the submitted photograph is not available, so it will be read in evidence.
Special CBI advocates Lalit Kumar Singh, Purnendru Chakraborty and RK Yadav were present in the court on behalf of the prosecution. Vijay Bahadur Singh advocate KK Mishra was also present. The court, in its order, has said that there is no time left in case of more number of questions under Section 313. Because of this, the statements of all the witnesses could not be recorded. The court has fixed June 5 for the deposition of other witnesses. Ordered that if the accused wanted to present their evidence after the statements, they would file it in the form of written statement so that the proceedings of the trial could be completed.
