Ram Mandir: 10 to 12 lakh devotees can reach Ayodhya every week till Ram Navami on 17th April. The Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony was completed on January 22 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
American food chain KFC i.e. Kentucky Fried Chicken may soon knock in Ayodhya. However, nothing has been officially said regarding the opening of outlets in the city. There are possibilities that KFC may be opened in Ayodhya on the condition of not selling non-veg dishes. The special thing is that Domino’s has already entered the city before this.
There is already a strict ban on the sale of meat or liquor on the Panch Kosi route in Ayodhya. This 15 km route is connected to Tirthadarshan Panch Kosi Parikrama. Speaking to Money Control, Vishal Singh, a government official in Ayodhya, says, ‘KFC has started the unit on the Ayodhya-Lucknow highway because we do not allow non-veg items here.’
He said, ‘If KFC decides to serve only vegetarian food, we are ready to accommodate it here too.’ He said, ‘Many big food chain outlets have given us offers to open shops in Ayodhya. We welcome them with open arms, but the only restriction will be that they will not be able to sell non-veg inside Panch Kosi.
Business in Ayodhya
According to a report by Money Control, Avadh Kumar Verma, who runs Pizza Hut about 8 km away from Ram Temple, is now regretting his decision. He says, ‘Pizza Hut started its shop three months ago, when the date of the temple consecration ceremony was announced. We were looking at the shops on Ram Path due to the crowd. Our business is doing well, but having a shop there could have been very beneficial.
