With this, Delhi has become the 35th state / union territory to implement this scheme. West Bengal is now the only state where this scheme has not been implemented. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Delhi Government and the National Health Authority in the presence of Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, among others. After the signing of the MoU, a special campaign will be launched to enroll beneficiaries under the scheme.

Earlier, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh had given information that the poorest people will be given priority in the Delhi government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme. One lakh people will be included under the scheme by April 10, which aims to improve Delhi’s health infrastructure. The minister said that this initiative will improve Delhi’s health infrastructure, patients will get better primary care and health services will increase.

He said that patient records will be kept digitally, which will lead to better monitoring and management. We will first issue cards to those who need it the most, including beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and priority families. After that, we will further expand the scope of beneficiaries under the scheme.
