Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PM-JAY) , free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is available. However, for this an “Ayushman card” has to be made, which has become even easier to make now.

In fact, beneficiaries can also get their ‘Ayushman Card’ made under PM-JAY at UTIITSL centers and get it. They may visit the nearest UTIITSL center to check their eligibility or call on 14555 to know more about the same.

There is no special registration process for Ayushman Bharat Scheme. PMJAY is applicable to all the beneficiaries who are identified by SECC under the RSBY scheme. To check eligibility, visit the PMJAY portal and click on ‘Am I Eligible’ (Am I eligible?).

Next you have to fill your mobile number, after which captcha code will come and then you have to generate OTP (One Time Password). Next, after selecting your state, search your details by name, HHD number, ration card number or mobile number. Based on the search results, you will be able to verify whether your family is covered under this scheme or not.

Once you are eligible to get the benefits of PMJAY, you can easily get the e-card linked to the scheme. Your Aadhaar or Ration card will be verified on PMJAY Kiosk, after which Ayushman card will be issued. The beneficiary has to carry the family ID (Ration Card, State-recognized Identity Card etc.) along with Aadhaar Card or any government ID with his photo (such as Voter ID Card, PAN Card etc.).

Let us tell you that Ayushman Bharat Yojana is also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, whose objective is to provide health services and facilities to the people of the economically weaker sections.

It was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23, 2018 and under this health insurance scheme, about 50 crore citizens of the country are covered. Cancer treatment can be done under PM-JAY. However, the type and duration of treatment varies for all types of cancer.
