There is news of relief for new ration card holders in Uttarakhand. Now Ayushman cards of new ration card holders made till 2021 will be made. Under this, they will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in contracted hospitals.
Till now, the cards of family members were being made only from the ration cards made till 2014-15. Now the data of the old renewed cards along with the new cards has been made available to the Ayushman Society by the Food Supplies Department.
More than 20 lakh members of more than five lakh families will get its benefit. All the data has been linked to the portal of National Health Authority (NHA) through NIC. Under the National Food Security and State Food Security, at present the data of 23 lakh families and 89 lakh total members in Uttarakhand has been given by the department. Earlier there was data link of more than 18 lakh families.
Earlier the card had a ten digit number, now it is a 12 digit number. Teams of Society and Implementation Support Agency under the leadership of Ayushman Society President DK Kotia and CEO Arunendra Singh Chauhan are involved in this process. Ayushman card can be made in Common Service Center, any hospital. Dr. NS Khatri, Nodal of Ayushman in Doon Hospital, said that those who do not have a card, they must get their card made.
Biometric Compulsory: Biometric has been made mandatory while making Ayushman card, so that transparency can be maintained in making the card. That is why the complete details of the people will come from the biometric. This will make the card of the eligible person. It is directed to draw cards with an eye machine for children or the elderly.
People will also be able to make cards with MSBY card: If people do not have ration card, then they can also go to CSC or hospital with Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme card, ration card number, mobile number. From there, Ayushman card can also be made by searching your data portal.
