Unable to process repeated defeated in an online game, an 11-year-old boy from Madhya Pradesh allegedly murdered his neighbour.
Indore: An 11-year-old boy allegedly murdered a 9-year-old girl in Indore, Madhya Pradesh as she had repeatedly defeated him at an online game. The accused boy allegedly hit the minor girl with stones and locked himself in the washroom after doing the same.
The deceased girl and the accused are residents of Lasudia. The girl was taken to a field by the accused on Monday and was allegedly hit brutally on the head and face with three stones.
The accused and the Class 5 student had been playing an online game where they were required to kill each other to survive on an island. The two had been playing the game since the beginning of the lockdown.

Accused locked himself in washroom for hours
The girl had been repeatedly defeating the 11-year-old boy in the game. Irked at being constantly defeated, the boy allegedly decided to kill the girl. The accused took the girl to a field and allegedly murdered her. When the 9-year-old girl collapsed, the accused fled to his house and locked himself in the washroom for hours.
In the afternoon, the girl’s family realised that she had been missing and started looking for her. Some of the eye witnesses claimed that they had seen the accused walking with the girl at around 10.30 am towards a field. As the police were investigating the case, the boy’s family approached them and claimed that he was missing. The police grew suspicious when one of the boy’s family members approached them and said that they had located him.
The police counselled the boy into opening the door. When the boy came out, he confessed to committing the murder. The 11-year-old boy was taken into custody by the cops. As per a police officer, the 9-year-old girl had also murdered the boy’s pet rat and the same had augmented his anger.
