new Delhi . The country’s largest public sector banks State Bank of India (SBI) and Punjab National Bank (PNB) are very important information for account holders. These banks have issued high alert to their customers.
If customers do not pay attention to this, then their bank service may stop. SBI has informed its account holders by tweeting that they should get the PAN-Aadhaar card linked before 31 March 2022.

SBI Bank has tweeted and said that we advise our account holders to link their PAN card with Aadhar card to avoid any kind of inconvenience and continue to enjoy a flawless banking service. The bank has said that it is very important to link PAN card with Aadhar card because if PAN card and Aadhar card are not linked, then PAN card will become inactive and PAN card cannot be used to do specified transactions. Let us tell you that the deadline for linking PAN card with Aadhar card was kept by the Central Government on 30 September 2021 but later it has been increased to 31 March 2022 due to Corona epidemic.
How to link PAN-Aadhaar card
First way
1- First you go to the official website of Income Tax https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home.
2- Here on the left side you will see the option of Link Aadhaar, click on it.
3- A new page will open, where you have to fill PAN, AADHAAR and your name as written in Aadhaar.
4- If you have only year of birth in your Aadhar card, then tick the box of ‘I have only year of birth in aadhaar card’.
5- Enter the captcha code or tick for OTP.
6- Click on the button of Link Aadhaar, you just got PAN and Aadhaar link.
Second way
• You can also link PAN and Aadhaar through SMS.
• In mobile’s message box, type – UIDPAN<12-digit Aadhaar><10-digit PAN>
, send this message to 567678 or 56161, your PAN-Aadhaar card will be linked.
