new Delhi. In the second month of the year ie February, there will be 12 days of bank holidays. These holidays of February also include the holidays of the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. According to the list of holidays released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks are closed across India on National Holidays, while bank branches will be closed in some states due to regional holidays.
These holidays are in different states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all the states simultaneously. At the same time, according to the guidelines of RBI, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month apart from Sundays.
The strike will be held in March instead of 23-24 February.
Central trade unions across the country had earlier called a nationwide strike on 23 and 24 February against the policies of the government. On the same day the bank employees were also going to go on strike. But CITU has informed that now this strike will be held in March instead of 23 and 24 February. Along with this, the Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) has also extended the strike date till March.
