Actually, festivals like Dhanteras, Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Chhath Puja, Guru Nanak Jayanti are falling in this month. In such a situation, banks will remain closed for a total of 17 days in this month (Bank Holidays November). Many holidays are going to fall continuously.

Banks will be closed for 5 consecutive days from today 

Banks will remain closed for 5 consecutive days from today in the festival month of November. However, these holidays will be in different states of the country. According to the holidays issued by RBI, banks will remain closed in Bangalore tomorrow i.e. on 3rd November on account of Naraka Chaturdashi.

At the same time, on November 4, Diwali will be celebrated across the country, due to which banks will remain closed in all states except Bengaluru. After this, on November 5, banks are closed in many states. After this, the festival of Bhai Dooj will be celebrated on 6th November. Then November 7 is falling on a Sunday on which there will be a weekly holiday.

Banks will remain closed for 17 days 

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of official bank holidays for the month of November, according to which there are 17 holidays in the month of November. During this, banks will be closed continuously in many cities of India. Let us tell you that weekly holidays are also included in this 17-day holiday.

According to RBI guidelines, banks are closed on Sundays as well as on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, RBI has declared holidays on November 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 19, 22 and 23. Apart from this, there are four Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays in the month.

1st November – Kannada Rajyotsava/Kut – Banks closed in Bengaluru and Imphal

3rd November – Naraka Chaturdashi – Banks closed in Bengaluru

4th November – Diwali Amavasya (Lakshmi Puja)/ Deepavali/Kali Puja – Banks closed in all states except Bengaluru

5th November – Diwali (Bali Pratipada) / Vikram Samvat New Year / Govardhan Puja – Banks closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bangalore, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur

November 6 – Bhai Dooj / Chitragupta Jayanti / Laxmi Puja / Deepawali / Ningol Chakoba – Bank closed in Gangtok, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow and Shimla

7 November – Sunday (weekly holiday)

10 November – Chhath Puja / Surya Shashthi Dala Chhath – Bank closed in Patna and Ranchi

November 11 – Chhath Puja – Bank closed in Patna

12 November – Vangla Utsav – Bank closed in Shillong

13 November – Saturday (Second Saturday of the month)

14 November – Sunday (weekly holiday)

19 November – Guru Nanak Jayanti / Kartik Purnima – Aizawl, Banks closed in Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar

21 November – Sunday (weekly holiday)

22 November – Kanakdas Jayanti – Bank closed in Bengaluru

23 November – Seng Kutsnam – Bank closed in Shillong
