Banks Holidays this week: A total of 16 holidays have been allotted to banks in January 2024, including second, fourth Saturday, Sunday and other regional holidays. Soon banks are going to remain closed for three consecutive days.


Banks Holidays this week: Banks will remain closed for three consecutive days starting from Friday. A total of 16 holidays have been allotted to banks in January 2024, including second, fourth Saturday, Sunday and other regional holidays.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the list of bank holidays, which is based on various factors including national/state holidays, cultural or religious observances, operational requirements, government announcements and coordination with other banks.

Banks will remain closed on these dates this week.

  • Banks closed today on 23rd January.
    23rd January (Tuesday) – Gan-Nagai – Banks are closed in Manipur.
  • Banks will remain closed on 25 January
    25 January (Thursday) – Thai Poosam/Birthday of Mohammad Hazrat Ali – Banks will remain closed in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh.
  • Republic Day: Banks will remain closed on 26 January
    26 January (Friday) – Banks are closed. Republic Day, which falls on Friday this year, is a national holiday. After this is the fourth Saturday and Sunday.
  • Banks will remain closed on 27th January
    (fourth Saturday)
  • Banks will remain closed on 28th January
    (Sunday)
