According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks across the country will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Therefore, banks will remain closed in all states on this day. After this, banks will remain closed on 27 April due to Sunday holiday. This is the regular weekly holiday of the bank. On this day also, all banks across the country will remain closed.

On this day only banks of Himachal Pradesh will remain closed, while banks are expected to remain open in other states.

Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya

On 30th April banks will remain closed in Karnataka due to Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya. Basava Jayanti is a big festival in Karnataka. Buying gold on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya is considered auspicious. On this day all banks in Karnataka will remain closed, but in other states banks will continue to function normally.

What to keep in mind?

Banks being closed for four days from 26th to 30th April does not mean that all banks will remain closed continuously everywhere. There are holidays in different states due to different festivals. Especially in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, where banks will be closed due to festivals. In other states also, finish your banking work in advance due to Saturday and Sunday holiday.
