Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya
On 30th April banks will remain closed in Karnataka due to Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya. Basava Jayanti is a big festival in Karnataka. Buying gold on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya is considered auspicious. On this day all banks in Karnataka will remain closed, but in other states banks will continue to function normally.
What to keep in mind?
Banks being closed for four days from 26th to 30th April does not mean that all banks will remain closed continuously everywhere. There are holidays in different states due to different festivals.
