Bank Closing in April 2025: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31, banks in many states will remain closed today. You can do any work related to the bank through mobile or online banking. However, submitting a check, opening an account and some work will be done only by going to the bank.

The new financial year 2025-26 is going to start from tomorrow i.e. April 1. Banks are going to remain closed for many days in the month of April as well. Along with this, due to the start of the financial year, banks will remain closed for the public tomorrow. This day has been reserved for bank-end processes. At the same time, Sarhul festival will be celebrated in Jharkhand tomorrow. Therefore, all private and government banks are going to remain closed in Jharkhand.

Along with this, banks are going to remain closed for many days in the month of April as well. Banks will remain closed for 14 days in the month of April. These include Sunday and Saturday holidays.

When will the banks remain closed in April?

According to the country’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of India, private and government banks will remain closed every Sunday. Private and government banks will also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

  • April 5 – Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti will be celebrated on this day. This day is celebrated in the memory of Babu Jagjivan, who fought for social justice. All private and government banks of the country will remain closed on this day.
  • April 10 – Mahavir Jayanti will be celebrated in the country on this day. On April 10, all private and government banks will remain closed in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
  • April 14 – Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated on April 14. On this day, banks of states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Chhattisgarh, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh will remain closed.
  • Vishu will be celebrated in Kerala, New Year in Tamil Nadu, Poila Boishakh in Bengal, Bihu festival in Assam. Due to which banks will remain closed here too.
  • Bihu New Year will be celebrated in Bengal on 15th April. Due to which private and government banks of Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh states will remain closed.
  • On 21st April, banks will remain closed in Tripura on the occasion of Garia Puja. Along with this, all the banks of Himachal Pradesh will remain closed on the occasion of Parashuram Jayanti on 29th April.
  • Apart from this, banks will remain closed in Karnataka on the occasion of Basava Jayanti on 30th April.
