Now government banks will work for only five days in a week. According to the sources of CNBC Awaaz, the Indian Banking Association has proposed to work for five days a week. The Finance Ministry can soon give approval on this matter.

Before this, the bank unions have already agreed among themselves on this issue. This news is good news for about 8 lakh bank employees of the country.

Let us tell you that bank unions have been demanding 5 working days for a long time. This demand had caught hold since the government has implemented the rule of 5 working days in the Life Insurance Corporation of India.

Will get two days off in a week- Finance Ministry can approve two days off in a week and five work in banks soon. The Finance Ministry has no objection to this demand of the employees.

The Indian Banking Association had sent a proposal to the government regarding this demand. According to the proposal, daily working time for bank employees will increase by 40 minutes.

But daily working hours will increase: Monday to Saturday bank employees will have to work from 9.45 am to 5.30 am. In such a situation, there will be an increase of 40 minutes in the work every day. Please tell that currently banks work on the first and third Saturdays. Many times the customers have a lot of confusion regarding the bank holidays in between.
