Bank employees: New update! Government banks will open only 5 days every week? Government gave new update

Bank 5 Days Working: An update has come from Rajya Sabha for the employees waiting for Saturday holiday every week in banks.


Bank 5 Days Working: Bank employees may get a good news from the government very soon. For a long time, the bank employees’ union has been demanding five working days in banks. At present, bank employees get leave on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. But the employees demand that it should be increased to every Saturday of the month. Regarding this, the Minister of State for Finance, on behalf of the government, explained the preparations of the government in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

Government told the plan in Parliament

Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Karad told in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha that the Indian Banks Association (IBA) has proposed to keep all Saturdays as holiday in banks. However, currently, under the 10th bilateral agreement between the Banks Union and IBA, since 2015, the second and fourth Saturday of every month has been declared a public holiday for banks.

This is the demand of the bank union

Let us tell you that bank employees are hopeful of getting relief from the government very soon. IBA has given its approval for working in banks for five days. However, this is yet to get approval from RBI and Finance Ministry. Apart from this, according to media reports, IBA has proposed a 15 percent increase in the salaries of bank employees.
