Bank Employees Salary Hike: Now the association is going to take commission to increase the salary of bank employees. Employees who have to receive arrears in their salaries will have a deduction of 4% from their salaries. The bank union will receive this deduction as part of its union fees or contributions.
Bank Employees Salary Hike: Now the association is going to take commission to increase the salary of bank employees. Bank employees will have to pay the fees for the labor and work of the Bank Union 12th Bilateral Agreement (BP) i.e. the association made to increase the salary. The association will charge 4% commission on the net salary arrears of the employees. If we talk in simple words, then 4% will be deducted from the salary of the employees who have to get arrears in their salary. This deduction will be paid to the bank union as part of their union fees or contributions. This has been said in the HelloBanker report citing the Indian Banks Association (IBA).
The notice states that this deduction will be calculated according to the contribution to Provident Fund (PF) or National Pension System (NPS) and income tax.
- AIBEA : 20%
- State Federation: 40%
- Base Union: 40%
Apart from this, 10% under allocation to base unions has been fixed for All India Bank Wise Federation. The balance 30% will be kept for base unions. If the net arrears after deduction is Rs 1 lakh, then you will have to pay Rs 4,000 as commission to the bank union.

- All India Bankwise Federation will get ₹400
- Base unions will get ₹1,200
Last week, IBA had agreed to a 17% annual salary increase for bank employees. This move will add an additional annual burden of approximately ₹8,284 crore to public sector banks. 8 lakh bank employees will benefit from the salary hike, which will be implemented from November 2022. The main points of the agreement also included recognizing all Saturdays as holidays in the government notification. As said by All India Bank Officers Confederation, this move will help in better work personal life balance for the employees.
