Bank will remain closed for so many days in August
Many big festivals are happening in the next month i.e. August. In such a situation, the list of banking holidays falling in August is also very big. Banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in August.
Reserve Bank of India has released the list of bank holidays for August. According to this list, there will be no work in banks for 13 days next month. This also includes the weekly holidays of the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.
Banks will remain closed on these dates
The first banking holiday is falling on August 1. All banks will be closed in Gangtok due to Drupaka She-Ji festival. After this, due to Sunday on August 7, there will be a bank holiday across the country. Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on 8th August on the occasion of Muharram (Ashura). Then on 9th August also on the occasion of Muharram, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Muharram (Ashura) except Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jammu, Panaji, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram and Srinagar.
There will be a bank holiday across the country on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on August 11. Due to August 13 being the second Saturday of the month, all the banks in the country will remain closed. On August 14, due to Sunday, there will be a bank holiday across the country. After that all the banks in the country will be closed on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August.
Then on August 16, all banks in Mumbai and Nagpur will remain closed on the occasion of Parsi New Year. After that, on the occasion of Janmashtami on August 18, all the banks across the country will be closed. On August 21, Sunday, there will be a bank holiday across the country due to the weekend. Then on August 28, due to Sunday, there will be a bank holiday in the whole country. August 31, 2022: There will be a bank holiday in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
