4 Days Bank Holiday: Banks are going to be closed for four days next week. If you have to go to the bank to settle your work, then first check the list of holidays. Holi festival is next week. Due to Holi, banks will remain closed for three days in many states. Here we are telling you when the banks will remain closed in which states. Check the complete list of holidays. 

Banks will remain closed for four days next week

  • March 13 (Thursday): Banks are going to remain closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Kerala due to Holika Dahan and Attukal Pongala.
  • March 14 (Friday): Banks will remain closed in most states except Tripura, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala and Nagaland due to Holi, Dhulandi, Dol Jatra.
  • March 15 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed in some states like Tripura, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Manipur due to Holi. Holi will be celebrated here on March 15.
  • March 16 – Banks remain closed on Sunday.

List of RBI holidays in March

  • March 8 (Second Saturday) – Weekly Holiday
  • March 9 (Sunday) – Weekly Holiday
  • March 13 (Thursday): Holika Dahan and Attukal Pongala – Banks will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Kerala.
  • March 14 (Friday): Holi (Dhuleti/Dhulandi/Dol Jatra) – Public holiday in most states except Tripura, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala and Nagaland.
  • 15 March (Saturday): Holi in select states – Banks closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal and Patna
  • 16 March (Sunday) – Weekly holiday
  • 22 March (fourth Saturday): Weekly holiday and Bihar Day
  • 23 March (Sunday) – Weekly holiday
  • 27 March (Thursday): Shab-e-Qadr – Banks closed in Jammu
  • 28 March (Friday): Jumat-ul-Vida – Banks closed in Jammu and Kashmir
  • 30 March (Sunday) – Weekly holiday
  • 31 March (Monday): Ramzan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) (Shawwal-1)/Khutub-e-Ramzan – Holiday in most states except Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh.

Banks will remain closed for 14 days in March

March includes Holi, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, Parsi New Year etc. Banks will remain closed in different states due to many festivals. Banks do not close simultaneously across the country.
