Bank Holiday: As the business year comes to an end, banking activity increases for taxpayers, businesses and common citizens. People often turn to banks to file taxes, make investments and settle business transactions.

Why are banks closed?
According to the RBI holiday chart, banks in the country will remain closed on March 30 due to Sunday. On the other hand, there will be a holiday on Monday, March 31. Banks will remain closed on Monday due to Ramadan Eid (Id-Ul-Fitr) (Shawal-1) / Khutub-e-Ramadan.

As per the current rules, banks in India remain open on the first and third Saturdays of every month, unless otherwise given in the RBI holiday list.
