Bank Holiday on Eid: According to RBI’s Bank Holiday List 2023, the bank holiday for Eid will be celebrated on 22 April. However, in view of Eid-ul-Fitr, banks in some areas will remain closed today i.e. on April 21.


Public and private sector banks in India will remain closed on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr i.e. Saturday. According to RBI’s Bank Holiday List 2023, the bank holiday for Eid will be celebrated on 22 April. However, in view of Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid)/Garia Puja/Jumat-ul-Vida, banks will remain closed today i.e. April 21 in some areas.

When is Eid?

Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 will be celebrated in India on 22 April. When the moon will be visible in the country, Eid will be celebrated on the night of the moon on April 21. Meanwhile, UAE and Saudi Arabia will celebrate Friday Yaan 2023 today.

Let us tell you that all banks, whether government or private, remain closed on national holidays. These national holidays include Republic Day, Independence Day and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. Banks in India are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, along with national and government holidays. If there are five Saturdays in a month, banks are open on the fifth Saturday.
