RBI i.e. Reserve Bank of India has released the list of holidays in the month of July. As per the holiday calendar of RBI, banks will be closed for about 15 days in the month of July 2023.

These holidays include second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sundays. Eight of these holidays are listed under the Negotiable Instruments Act, while the rest are weekend holidays.
Must check the list before going to the bank
If you leave home to go to the branch for any work related to banking in July, then first check whether the bank is open on this day or not. If it remains closed on that day, then the work related to your bank will not be done and your time will also be wasted. However, bank branches will remain closed on these days but mobile and internet banking will continue as usual. In such a situation, customers can do transactions through online medium.

- 2 July 2023: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
- 5 July: Banks will remain closed in Srinagar, Jammu due to the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind ji.
- July 6: Banks will remain closed in Aizawl on account of MHIP Day.
- July 8: Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday of the month.
- July 9: Banks will remain closed across the country on Sunday.
- July 11: Banks will remain closed in Agartala due to Ker Puja.
- 13 July: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok due to Bhanu Jayanti.
- July 16: Will be closed due to Sunday.
- July 17: Banks will remain closed in Shillong on account of U Tirot Sing Day.
- 21 July: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok due to Drukpa Tse-Zi.
- July 22: Fourth Saturday
- July 23: Will be closed due to Sunday.
- 28 July: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar due to Ashura.
- 29 July 2023: New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Lucknow, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, Telangana, Raipur, Jaipur, Kanpur, Nagpur, Belapur, Aizawl, Shimla, Patna, Agartala on the occasion of Muharram (Tazia) Banks will remain closed in Ranchi.
