New Delhi. The month of March is about to end and the month of April 2024 will start from next week. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the bank holiday list for April (Bank Holiday List April 2024). According to RBI’s bank holiday list, banks will remain closed for 14 days next month.
In such a situation, if you are thinking of going to the bank to settle any urgent matter, then you should once check the bank holiday list for April 2024.
When will banks remain closed in April?
1 April 2024: Whenever the financial year ends, the bank has to close the accounts for the entire financial year. Due to account closing on 1st April in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Lucknow, Mumbai. Banks will remain closed on , Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.
- 5 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Telangana, Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday and Jummat-ul-Vida.
- 9 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar on the occasion of Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/Telugu New Year and first Navratri.
- 10 April 2024: Will remain closed in Kochi and Kerala due to Eid.
- 11 April 2024: Due to Eid, many banks will remain closed across the country, but banks of Chandigarh, Gangtok, Imphal, Kochi, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram will remain open.
- 15 April 2024: Banks of Guwahati and Shimla will remain closed due to Himachal Day.
- 17 April 2024: Ram Navami is on 17 April. On the occasion of Ram Navami, banks will not open in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla, Mumbai and Nagpur.
- 20 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Garia Puja.
All the banks of the country will remain closed on this day.
Let us tell you that banks remain closed on Sunday, second Saturday and fourth Saturday of every month. In April, all banks of the country will remain closed on 7 April (Sunday), 13 April (second Saturday), 14 April (Sunday), 21 April (Sunday), 27 April (fourth Saturday) and 28 April (Sunday).
