Bank Holiday on Eid al-Adha 2024: The festival of Bakrid i.e. Eid al-Adha (Eid al-Adha 2024) will be celebrated across the country on Monday 17 June 2024. Due to this, banks are going to remain closed in many states of the country. In such a situation, after Sunday’s holiday, they are going to remain closed on Monday as well. Banks will remain closed in these states

For the convenience of the customers, the Reserve Bank of India releases the list of holidays before the beginning of the month. With this, customers can plan their work by looking at the list of bank holidays. On the occasion of Eid al-Adha on Monday, June 17, 2024, banks are going to remain closed in most parts of the country like Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Nagpur, Panaji, Raipur, Patna, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar and Trivandrum.

Banks will remain closed in these cities on June 18

At the same time, due to Eid al-Adha i.e. Bakrid, there will be a holiday in the banks in Jammu and Srinagar of the country on 18 June 2024.

  • Banks will remain closed on these days in June 2024
  • 22 June 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to the fourth Saturday of the month.
  • 23 June 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
  • 30 June 2024- Banks will remain closed due to Sunday.

Settle your work with net banking

Even after the bank is closed, customers can transfer money from one account to another through net banking and mobile banking. Money can also be transferred from one account to another through UPI. Apart from this, you can use ATM for cash withdrawal. These facilities will remain available even on bank holidays.
