Bank Holidays Announced: Banks will remain closed for so many days in April, check list according to your city

April 1 means today is the first Saturday of the month but banks are closed in most of the states of the country. After this, there will be no work in banks in different states on 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 21st and 22nd.

Today i.e. from April 1, the new financial year has started. Banks are closed for a total of 15 days in different states during the first month of the financial year i.e. April. In such a situation, if you are planning to settle the work related to banking, then check the list of holidays. It would be better to make your planning accordingly.

When and how often will banks remain closed: On the first day of April, 1st April i.e. today is the first Saturday of the month, but banks are closed in most of the states of the country. After this, there will be no work in banks in different states on 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 21st and 22nd.

On the other hand, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 April are Sundays and there is a weekly holiday on this day. This means that banks will remain closed on this day. There, the second and fourth Saturdays are on 8th and 22nd April. Banks will remain closed in most of the states on these two days as well.

What is the reason: Actually, there are many important festivals in the month of April. Because of this banks will not function. Banks will remain closed in different states on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti on coming 3rd and 4th April.

Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday is on 5th April, so because of this banks will not open in many states. Apart from this, banks will remain closed on April 7 on account of Good Friday and April 14 on account of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Sankranti/Biju Festival/Bisu Festival, Tamil New Year Day in different states.

Whereas, in the last 15 days of April Vishu/Bohag Bihu/Himachal Day/Bengali New Year Day (Nabbarsha), Shab-l-Kadra, Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid)/Garia Puja/Zuma-ul-Vida and Eid Banks will not function due to ul-Fitr.
