When will banks remain closed in October?
The first holiday in October will be on 1st October only. October 1 is a Sunday due to which banks will remain closed across the country. After this, the next holiday will be on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Then on the second Sunday of October 8, banks across the country will remain closed. After this, banks will remain closed across the country on the second Saturday of October 14 and on the occasion of Mahalaya. Banks will also remain closed on the third Sunday on 15 October. After this, banks of Guwahati zone will remain closed on October 18 on the occasion of Kati Bihu. Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Imphal and Kolkata on October 21 on the occasion of Durga Puja or Maha Saptami.
Banks will remain closed even on Dussehra
Banks will remain closed across the country on 22nd October due to Sunday. After this, on October 23, on the occasion of Dussehra and Mahanavami, banks of Agartala, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed. On October 24, on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami i.e. Durga Puja, banks in all places except Hyderabad and Imphal will remain closed. Banks of Gangtok, Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed on the occasion of Dasain on 25, 26 and 27 October. Banks of Kolkata will remain closed on 28th October on the occasion of Lakshmi Puja. Banks across the country will remain closed on 29th October due to Sunday. The banks of Ahmedabad will remain closed on October 31, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
