Bank Holidays: Bank employees of this state will get 2 extra holidays in August

Bank Holidays: The Madhya Pradesh government has accepted the demand of the bank employees’ organizations. Now there will be a holiday on Rakhi and Janmashtami in the state.

Bank Holidays: The state government has given good news to the bank employees of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has approved leave for the officers and employees working in the banking sector under the “negotiable instruments act, 1881” on the occasion of Rakshabandhan on August 19 and Sri Krishna Janmashtami on August 26. The bank employees’ organizations had demanded from Chief Minister Dr. Yadav to provide leave to the officers and employees of the banks to celebrate the festival of Rakshabandhan and Sri Krishna Janmashtami like other employees of the state.

Banks will remain closed across the country on August 15

August 15 i.e. Thursday is Independence Day. On this occasion, banks will remain closed across the country. Apart from this, there will be no work in the stock market on August 15. Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange will remain closed.

Bank Holidays in August

  • 15 August (Thursday) – All banks in India will remain closed on account of Independence Day/Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi).
  • 18 August – Banks will remain closed on Sunday and will observe a weekly holiday across the country.
  • 19 August (Monday) – Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Gujarat, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh on account of Rakshabandhan/Jhula Purnima/Bir Vikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur’s Birthday.
  • 20 August (Tuesday) – Banks will remain closed in Kerala on account of Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti.
  • 24 August – Banks will remain closed on account of fourth Saturday.
  • 25 August – Banks will remain closed on account of Sunday and will observe a public holiday.
  • 26 August (Monday) – Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar on account of Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8)/Krishna Jayanti.
