Apart from the official holidays in December, banking services may be disrupted across the country due to the nationwide strike. Both public and private banks in different states will remain closed for a total of 18 days in December. These 18 bank holidays include five Sundays as well as second and fourth Saturdays. Due to festivals in December, a total of 11 holidays are listed in many states. Banks will remain closed across the country on national holidays like Christmas.

Work will also be affected due to bank strike
All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has also called for a 6-day nationwide strike, which will affect many banks. From December 4, all branches of banks like Punjab National Bank (PNB), Punjab and Sindh Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) will remain closed across the country.
There will be a strike in Bank of Baroda (BOB) and Bank of India (BoI) on 5 December, while there will be a strike in Canara Bank and Central Bank of India on 6 December. Indian Bank and UCO Bank will be affected by strike on 7th December and there may be strike in Union Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra on 8th December.
