Banks are going to be closed for a total of 12 days in September, taking the holidays of different states. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed in these places for three consecutive days from September 19.

Earlier from September 8, banks remained closed in different states of the country due to five consecutive days of holidays. Now today i.e. September 19 will be a holiday for 3 consecutive days. Let us know when and in which states banks are closed this month.

Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday on 19 September. After this, there will be a holiday of Indrajatra in Gangtok banks on 20th September. Then on September 21, there will be a holiday for Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day in the banks of Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. After this, due to the fourth Saturday on 25 September 2021, the bandhs across the country will remain closed. Then on 26 September 2021, the banks will be closed on Sunday.


According to the list of holidays given on the RBI website (Bank Holidays List September 2021), these holidays are in different states. All these holidays are not applicable in all the states. These holidays are available on the basis of festivals, recognition of the state in which the bank is located. The reason for this is that some festivals or festivals are not celebrated simultaneously in the whole country.
