The festival of Bhai Dooj will be celebrated on 15 November 2023 and before going to the bank during the festive season, people should know for how many days and when the banks are closed in their city. According to the holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India, the country’s banks are going to remain closed for a total of 15 days in November, which also includes the weekly Sunday and second-fourth Saturday holidays. The list of bank holidays also keeps changing depending on different states.

Today, the states in the country where banks are closed include Tripura, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra. This bank holiday is going to be on the occasion of Govardhan Puja/Lakshmi Puja. In some states, there is a bank holiday for 3 consecutive days because 11th and 12th November were the second Saturday and Sunday and Diwali holiday was given on Monday.

Where are banks closed on Tuesday 14th November?

In some states, Tuesday is also a bank holiday and banks will remain closed on Tuesday, November 14 in connection with the Diwali festival series of Bali Pratipada (Diwali), Vikram Samvat New Year Day or Lakshmi Puja. These include the names of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Sikkim.
