Banks will be closed for 5 days (Bank Holidays List April 2022)

April 1 – Annual closing of bank accounts – Banks closed in almost all states.
April 2 – Gudi Padwa / Ugadi Festival / First day of Navratri / Telugu New Year / Sajibu Nongampamba (Chairoba) – Banks closed in Belapur, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar.
April 3 – Sunday (weekly holiday)
April 4 – Bank closed in Sarihul- Ranchi.
April 5 – Birthday of Babu Jagjivan Ram – Banks closed in Hyderabad.

Bank will be closed for 15 days in April

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of Bank Holidays List of April 2022 for April 2022. According to this list, banks will be closed for a total of 15 days in April. These also include weekly holidays.

List of Bank Holidays in April 2022

1 April 2022: Annual closure of bank accounts. Banks will remain open in Aizawl, Chandigarh, Shillong and Shimla.
April 2, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir.
April 4, 2022: Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Sarhul in Jharkhand.
5 April 2022: Banks will remain closed in Telangana on the birthday of Babu Jagjivan Ram.
14 April 2022: Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti/ Mahavir Jayanti/ Baisakhi/ Vaisakhi/ Tamil New Year’s Day/ Chiraoba/ Biju Mahotsav/ Bohag Bihu.
15 April 2022: Good Friday / Bengali New Year’s Day (Nabavarsha) / Himachal Day / Vishu / Bohag Bihu.
16 April 2022: Banks will remain closed in Assam due to Bohag Bihu.
April 21, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Tripura due to Garia Puja.
29 April 2022: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir.

List of Weekend Bank Holidays: April 2022

3 April 2022: Sunday.
9 April 2022: Second Saturday.
10 April 2022: Sunday.
17 April 2022: Sunday.
23 April 2022: Fourth Saturday.
24 April 2022: Sunday.

Explain that according to the list of holidays given on the official website of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banking holidays also depend on the notification of festivals celebrated in different states or special occasions in those states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all the states.
