New Delhi: April Bank Holidays 2024: April has started from today. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for the month of April. There are 14 bank holidays coming in the month of April. These holidays have been decided after keeping in mind the festivals and special occasions happening in different states. These also include weekly holidays of Saturday and Sunday.
According to the official list of 6 holidays released by RBI on Saturday and Sunday, banks will remain closed for 14 days in some states in the month of April. Of these, 6 holidays are on Saturday and Sunday. 7, 14, 21 and 28 April are Sunday. 13th is the second Saturday and 27th April is the fourth Saturday.
There is a holiday on these festivals
- April 1: First day of the beginning of the financial year
- 5 April: Jamaat ul Vida (holiday in Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir)
- 9 April: Gudi Padwa / Ugadi Festival / Telugu New Year and first Navratri (holiday in some areas of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Bengaluru, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Hyderabad, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir.
- April 10: On the occasion of Ramzan-Eid, there will be a holiday in many places including some states of South India.
- April 11: On the occasion of Eid or Eid ul Fitr, banks will remain closed in the entire country except Chandigarh, Gangtok and Kochi.
- April 15: In view of the festival of Bihu, banks will remain closed in some areas of Assam. Banks of Shimla will remain closed on Himachal Day.
- April 17: Banks will remain closed in Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla, Mumbai, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Belapur, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Mumbai, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Belapur, Lucknow and Nagpur on the occasion of Ram Navami. .
- April 20: Banks will not open in Agartala, the capital of North-Eastern Tripura, on the occasion of Garia Puja.
