At the beginning of the month, banks will remain closed in Panaji, Goa due to Ganesh Chaturthi (second day) on 1st September.

After this, on September 6, there will be a bank holiday in Jharkhand on the occasion of Karma Puja. Banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will remain closed on September 7 and 8 on account of Onam. On September 9, there will be a bank holiday in Gangtok, Sikkim due to Indrajata. According to the RBI calendar, banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in Kerala will remain closed on September 10 on account of Sri Naravane Guru Jayanti.
There will also be a bank holiday in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on 21st September. On this day there will be a bank holiday due to Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day. On September 26, due to the establishment of Navratri, there will be a bank holiday in Jaipur and Imphal in Manipur.
