Debit cards of customers having accounts in government bank BoI (Bank of India) will now become useless. BOI has given information about this by tweeting.
The bank has said that after October 31, customers will neither be able to do any transaction nor withdraw money from their ATM card. The bank has already informed the customers about this.

BOI tweeted
Bank of India (BOI) has written in the tweet that Dear Customer, as per the regulatory guidelines, valid mobile number is mandatory to avail debit card services. The Bank has requested customers to please visit their branch and update/register their mobile number before 31.10.2023 to avoid closure of debit card services.
Contact bank branch
If you are also a customer of Bank of India, then immediately go and contact the bank. Apart from this, if you want to use the debit card of the bank in future also, then without any delay go to the branch and register your mobile number. Otherwise, you will neither be able to withdraw money nor do any other transaction through the card.
Number can be changed online also
The bank has said that customers can change the number through ATM or even online. If you are not able to do this then you can also contact the branch. For this, you have to go to the bank branch and fill the number change form and give all the information asked in it. Along with this, copy of passbook and Aadhar card also has to be submitted.
