Bank of Baroda (BoB) launched a special savings account – bob Lite Savings Account on Friday 27 October. The special thing about this account is that it is a lifetime zero balance savings account.
The bank has introduced this under the festive season ‘BoB Ke Sang Utsav Ki Umang’. There is no obligation to maintain minimum balance in this account. Some more features have been added to this account as per the needs of the customers. Under this, one can get free RuPay Platinum Debit Card for lifetime by maintaining a nominal balance on quarterly basis. Apart from this, some account holders can also get lifetime free credit card.
Special features of bob Lite Savings Account
This is a zero balance account. Any person above 10 years of age can open it. However, in case of single account for account holders aged 10-14 years, the maximum outstanding balance in the account on any day should not exceed Rs 10,000. Talking about Free RuPay Platinum Debit Card, you will need to maintain a quarterly balance sheet of Rs 3000 in metro cities, Rs 2000 in semi-urban areas and Rs 1000 in rural areas. If this balance is not maintained then an annual penalty will have to be paid. You will get 30 free check leaves in a financial year.
