Bank Salary Increase: Banking employees will soon have laddus in both their hands. IBA’s proposal approved.

The matter of bank association is almost in the final stage and once the decision is taken, the fate of the employees will be revealed. In one fell swoop, both money and peace will be deposited in their account. Talks on this have been going on for a long time and two such things have been demanded in the proposal, which can make this sector more popular among the youth.
Actually, Indian Bank Association has sent its suggestions on two big proposals for the financial and family welfare of the employees. One suggestion has already been approved by the Association and talks on it are also going on with the Finance Ministry for a long time. The second proposal has been sent by the Association recently and it is believed that both the proposals can be approved. If this happens then those working in the bank will get both money and peace in one go.
What’s in the proposal
Indian Bank Association had earlier said in the proposal that bank employees should be allowed to work only 5 days a week. Both government and private sector employees should get its benefit. Now the association has said in the new proposal that bank employees should get an increment of 15 percent annually. This means that on one hand there will be peace of mind with 5 working days and on the other hand there will be a big increase in salary with 15% increment.
Where is the matter now
The Banking Association has already approved the proposal to work 5 days a week. Now it has also prepared a draft of 15 percent increment. The proposal of working for 5 days is currently with the Reserve Bank and the Finance Ministry and the decision of both is awaited. The Finance Ministry is keeping a close eye on both the matters and is reviewing these proposals.

According to Times of India, the discussion on these proposals has not even started yet and a big government bank has also released the budget. Punjab National Bank (PNB) has made full preparations for a big increase in salary. This time PNB has made a budget of 15 percent increase instead of 10 percent increment. The bank has released 15 percent budget for increment in the September quarter. Meanwhile, the Bank Employees Union has demanded more than 15 percent increment and other facilities.
Why is the environment changing suddenly?
Employees and unions say that banks have made huge profits in the last few years and due to increasing demand for loans, business is also growing very fast. After the Corona period, all the schemes of the government have contributed a lot in strengthening the banking sector. It is being speculated that a decision on the proposal of salary increment may be taken before the general elections next year.
After the year 2015, there are continuous changes regarding the working days in banks. Before 2015, where banks used to work 6 days a week, now there is a holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays. After next 5 working days, employees will get more facilities.
