Bank Strike: Call of the Central Trade Unions (CITU) and other organizations to protest against the alleged anti-worker and anti-people and entrepreneur-supported policies of the Central Government.
Bank workers will also participate in the two-day nationwide strike being organized on February 23 and 24. The Central Committee of All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has decided to join this strike.
CH Venkatachalam, the general secretary of the organization, issued a circular on Sunday night to all concerned bank associations and members, giving this information and asked them to be ready to join this historic strike. He said that the United Forum of Bank Unions had called for a strike on March 15 and 16 last year to protest against the privatization of two state-owned banks. The strike was held on 16 and 17 December 2021 in protest against the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill 2021.
He said that it is not only a fight to save the lives and livelihood of the people but it is also a struggle to save the economy.
