new Delhi. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) continues to alert its customers to avoid fraud. According to LIC, customers are being confused by calling their mobile phones and landlines. Some fraudsters call customers by becoming LIC officers, agents or IRDA officials. In this call, they exaggerate the benefits related to insurance policy. In this way they persuade the customer to surrender the current policy.
LIC customers being confused
According to LIC, by surrendering the policy, a good amount was recovered from some customers to get better returns. Whereas, the amount surrendered by some customers has been invested elsewhere, making false promises. In this way, policy holders are being misled by becoming representatives of the company.

LIC has clearly stated in the alert issued by its side that the company does not suggest surrendering any policy to its customers. The company has appealed to the customers not to attend phone calls from these unconfirmed numbers. LIC has suggested to customers that they should register their policy on LIC’s official website and get all the information there.
Apart from this, LIC has requested its customers to take care of many things.
>> The company said that they should buy the policy only from an agent who has a license issued by IRDA or an ID card issued by LIC.
>> Apart from this, if any misleading calls are received to a customer, they can file a complaint by emailing co_crm_fb @ licindia.
>> Customers have the option of contacting the Grevens Redressal Officer by visiting the LIC website and contacting them.
