New Delhi: The two-day prime Day Sale of e-commerce giant Amazon has made more than 200 small and medium sellers millionaires. More than 4000 small and medium business vendors saw more than 10 lakh sales during the Prime Day sale, while the company said 209 of them became millionaires during Amazon Prime Day 2020 on August 6 and 7.
Amazon had the biggest two days
According to e-commerce giant Amazon, the 2nd biggest day for small and medium business during Amazon Prime Day 2020 on August 6 and 7. The company said that 91000 small and medium vendors received orders from 5900 pin codes across the country. Of these, 62,000 sellers were from small towns.
More than 4000 small and medium business sellers saw more than 10 lakh sales, while according to the company, 209 of them became millionaires. According to the data released by Amazon India, more than 10 lakh Prime Members of the company have purchased from small business people in a 14-day lead till Prime Day.

According to the company, the launch on Prime Day has seen a growth of up to 5 times in customer purchases. According to Amazon, the best-selling products included PCs, large appliances, kitchens, smartphones, clothes, food items, etc. Sales of trade mills and home gyms also witnessed a spurt.
The best-selling smartphones included samsung galxy m31s, Samsung Ghugging m31, Samsung Galaxy M21, Apple iPhone 11 and phones from some Chinese brands. The first day of Prime Day was the biggest day in terms of Amazon devices, with members of eco-devices, Fire TV Sticks and Kindle devices being the favourites.
“We are overwhelmed by the response to Prime Day, nearly double the last year’s signing for membership (65 per cent of which are outside the top 10 cities) and the highest ever members took advantage of shopping, new product launches,” said Amit Agarwal, SVP and country manager, Amazon India.
