On Monday, Flipkart announced the launch of a service marketplace called Flipkart Xtra, which aims to provide part-time income opportunities to individuals as well as service agencies and technicians. It starts with the inclusion of people in the marketplace as delivery executives. However, it also aims to engage service agencies and technically skilled people as service partners and technicians in the future. Flipkart Xtra has been launched just before the festive season and Flipkart Big Billion Days 2021 Sale.
People can download Flipkart Xtra from Google Play on their Android device.You can join this service by downloading the app named. This program will give an opportunity to the people to earn extra money. To join through the app, one has to complete the registration process. Flipkart will ask you to share your information and upload an ID proof to verify your background. After successful verification, the app will select the users for the task of their choosing.
Currently, Flipkart is allowing sign-ups for Xtra Delivery Executives, although Flipkart plans to add service partners and technicians to the program in the coming months. The e-commerce company is aiming to create over 4,000 jobs through this program this festive season.
Flipkart is planning to further enhance its delivery service in the country by adding part-time delivery partners through the Flipkart Xtra marketplace. The timing of the launch of this service is also interesting, because from October 7, Flipkart is going to start its biggest sale of the year, Big Billion Days, which will run till October 12.
Along with Flipkart Xtra, Flipkart also has a ‘Kirana Delivery’ program for local stores to order delivery in their regions. The company claimed that during last year’s festive season, the program had helped in completing 10 million shipments.
