A meeting of the Joint Forum of Central Trade Unions was held on Tuesday to review the preparations for the Bharat Bandh. In this meeting, the stock of the two-day-long protests in the states and different areas was taken.
States can impose ESMA

Despite this threat, the employees of the Roadways, Transport and Electricity Department have decided to support the Bharat Bandh. According to a statement, banking, insurance and financial sectors will also be part of this strike.
Bharat bandh is against the policies of the government
Trade unions have sent notices of this proposed strike to the coal, steel, oil, telecom, postal, income tax, copper, bank and insurance sectors. It has been said in this notice that the railway and defense sectors are also thinking of joining the two-day Bharat Bandh. It was discussed in the meeting of trade organizations that the BJP government at the Center, excited by winning the elections in the recent states, is troubling the working class with its policies.
Many issues including inflation were discussed in the meeting
The meeting discussed the reduction in interest on EPF, increase in prices of petrol, LPG, kerosene, CNG. The leaders of the trade unions said that due to the policies of the government, inflation is increasing continuously and the stock market is falling. The United Kisan Morcha will extend its support to the ‘Gramin Bandh’ on March 28 and 29, the statement said.
