Airtel: Bharti Airtel has launched a new fixed deposit marketplace under Airtel Finance. On this platform, customers can invest in FDs with annual interest up to 9.1%. Airtel Finance has built this platform on the Airtel Thanks app. From here, customers can book their FD with a minimum investment of only Rs 1,000. For this, they do not need to open a new bank account. This facility is currently available on Android devices. Soon it will be available on iOS as well.
Partnership for Fixed Deposit
Airtel Finance has partnered with small finance banks and non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) for this service. These include Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Shivalik Bank, Suryoday Small Finance Bank and Shriram Finance. Customers can withdraw money from their fixed deposit anytime after seven days.

How to open a fixed deposit:
- Download the app: First install the Airtel Thanks app on your Android device.
- Choose a fixed deposit: Go to the Fixed Deposit Marketplace in the app and compare all the options, where you can get interest rates up to 9.1%.
- Complete the KYC process: Fill in your personal details and complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process, which is necessary to protect the investment.
- Invest: Select an amount of Rs 1,000 or more and make the payment from the existing bank account. There will be no need for a new bank account now.
- Manage the FD: Once the fixed deposit is set up, you can easily manage it through the app. This move of Airtel Finance is being seen as a simple and easy finance service for the customers.
