About three lakh employees will get the benefit of this. Now the contribution of the State Government will be increased from 10 percent to 14 percent, although the contribution of the employees will remain as before 10 percent.
The special thing is that Chhattisgarh has become the first state which has increased its contribution in pension from 10 to 14 percent. Now the contribution of the state government will be 14 percent instead of 10 percent of the basic salary and dearness allowance of the employees. With this decision, the annual additional expenditure burden of about Rs 520 crore will be incurred on the state government.
