Big mistake in CBSE Result? Board asked schools to re-evaluate, know the whole matter

CBSE Board Exam 2025 Date: Practical exams will start from January 1 and theory exams from February 15, CBSE announced

CBSE Result: Based on the data of last year’s results, CBSE has found a significant difference between theory and practical marks in some subjects among 500 CBSE-affiliated schools, with 50% or more students. Following this, the board has issued a notice advising such schools to re-review their internal assessment process.

CBSE Result: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has found a big difference between practical and theory marks in the CBSE result. After which CBSE has advised some schools to do internal assessment of practical exams again. CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta said, ‘The Central Board of Secondary Education has found a big discrepancy in the marks obtained in theory and practical exams by 50 percent or more students of some subjects in 500 schools affiliated to CBSE through Advanced Artificial Intelligence. A big difference has been found between practical and theory marks.’

Schools have been asked to again prioritise fairness and accuracy in the evaluation of practicals and ensure that the process is completed properly and make necessary changes in the academics of the students.

AI tool revealed discrepancy

In fact, based on the data of last year’s results, CBSE has found a significant difference between theory and practical marks in some subjects among 50% or more students in about 500 schools affiliated to CBSE. The board has found this difference by using the advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tool used to analyze the results.

CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta said that this difference shows the need for careful evaluation during practical examinations in schools. Following this, the board has issued a notice advising such schools to re-review their internal assistant process .

CBSE issued notice

The advisory notice issued by CBSE states, “The aim is to implement a more robust, transparent and reliable mechanism to ensure that the assessment process is realistic and adds substantial value to the educational journey of students.” The advice further states that this advice is a reminder to prioritize fairness and accuracy in the assessment of practical examinations, which will enhance the quality of education provided in CBSE-affiliated institutions.
